It took me so long....  almost a year to track down Maine Coon kittens that we would include in our cattery that had the look and genetics that we wanted.  As you may already have found out on your search for your new pet... Maine Coons are very hard to find. Many of the cattery's we contacted here in the U.S. were rude, booked out for years and in general not fun or professional to deal with. (and to top it all off these were the websites that looked legit) There are many scam websites with buy now options for kittens. I thought there has to be a better way. That's when I decided to look abroad for Maine Coons.  We love the WILD look of the European Lines.  After so many challenges and tons of frustration in dealing with snooty cat people, our search finally ended. Finally the sweetest woman, Elena founder of Forest Brothers Cattery in ST. Petersburg Russia took me under her wing and sold me both Miss Stella and Roan our founding Queens.  

As a kid some of my favorite memories were playing with kitties on the front porch of my Granny Kaye's farm. She had what I like to call a cat hotel out the back screen door the old school kind that are on a spring and slam shut.. It was an animal paradise.   The cats would come out of the wood work, when they heard that door open. Knowing that a big pan of cat food covered in sausage gravy was about to be served. My Grandpa, was the one who usually delivered the food and he'd be cussing under his breath.  I'm sure he would have used them as target practice if he had his way. He only tolerated the situation because he knew how much we all loved the cats. We'd  name each kitten that was born in the cat hotel, give them special food and pack them around everywhere.
